8 wedding summer

First off, I'd like to apologize because it's been a very long time since I last posted...however, i don't know if anyone even looks at this so maybe my words are just chaff blowing in the wind.

Here's the REAL post:

Wow! Louise and Derek are engaged. That brings us to an even 8 weddings to attend this year! 2\3 have past and 5 to go (one of which, I must add, is ours). My apologies to Lou and Derek as your wedding is the last one of the year and I'm afraid you'll get a crappy gift...probably some repeat of something we'll get...just kidding!

Anyways, not a whole lot is new. I have some new pics I thought I'd post. I think people would rather see pictures than read posts anyways. So, this is what I've been up to the last while!

Honeymoon location to be disclosed: when we board the plane....

apparently, I am not allowed to know our destination until the morning we leave. All I know is it's in the Mayan Riviera (at least I think) and our plane leaves @ 11am on Aug 6th. That's all I'm allowed to know at this point. I'm excited about that.

Wedding plans are coming along nicely. Tanya was up on the weekend and between 5 of us (Tanya, Kathy, Ana Celia, Hannah, & Jessica) we managed to get 140 invitations done! I may need a few more but I think that'll be enough! I'm excited to fill the envelopes and mail them off!!!

Tonight we are meeting with Pastor Henry to talk about pre-marital counselling.

Coming up Sunday March 25th, JP and I head to Home Outfitters to do our wedding registry. There are some very cool and quirky items on the market these days!

I feel organized. Every once in a while something will pop up that I'm not expecting, like the church double books so I can't have the rehearsal run through the night before but must be two nights before. I stay calm though. Calm and cool. That's me.

Month of many births...

It has come to my attention that March has a high volume of births. I know of at least 6 people close to me who's birthdays are approaching or have passed. JP's birthday was on Monday March 5th. He's 22 now. My future brother-in-law Joe's girlfriend Tara celebrates on March 18th and I follow on the 19th. Fellow roomie is on the 26th and there are a few more, but I think you get the point.

Maid of Honor Tanya is coming up on the 16th!! I am tres excited about that! We'll be making the wedding invitations (hopefully all of them) and that will cross off one more thing from my ever-growing list! JP & I start our pre-marital counselling on March 20th and I'm pumped (remember that word when it was cool?).

New developments....JP is now OFFICIALLY in charge of the research, choosing, and planning of the honeymoon. Some places of interest.....Mayan Riviera, Cook Islands, Aruba....I won't know until...actually, I don't know when I'll get to know!

I've been very busy planning, getting quotes, making deposits, looking for dresses...I had a great weekend with 3 of my 4 bridesmaids. We went looking for their dresses and may have found "the one". I'm going to hit up the mall this weekend and check for something nice and affordable.

Josh Is Home!!

he's home but there's still a battle to fight. maybe this will be the most testing time of all. it's up to josh now to do his exercises faithfully. without those, his skin won't loosen up. please continue to pray for him...for endurance and stamina...for joy and strength. he's fighting a spiritual battle along with a physical one. pray for healing of his mind and for an "I CAN do this through Christ who gives me strength" attitude. he's struggling right now. please uphold him in prayer..come and visit him, call him, send him a letter....anything to encourage him. please...

Hi All, this is me as a Boyd Bodyman. I dressed up for Hallowe'en at work. I almost had to go back to the bodyshop to work cuz one of the bodymen was sick!!!

Wow. the power just went out but i've got 30 mins of power left cuz I have a battery pack for my computer!

Here's the latest on Josh:

He had his 2nd surgery yesterday and they did the rest of his skin grafts. He might be able to come home in as soon as two weeks. If anyone is going to visit, he requests they bring scratch and win tickets. He doesn't want food or books or movies, just scratch tickets!

I better get off the computer before it shuts down!

Update On Josh...

Josh and John (his dad) both arrived in Vancouver on Sunday afternoon. JP and I were able to visit with Josh sunday night and see him after his first surgery on Monday. I believe he is in stable condition but will require extensive skin grafting and surgeries. He is on high doses of pain medication and isn't very mobile. The staff at Vancouver General Hospital Burn Unit are AMAZING. He is much more comfortable and able to stretch out on the bed which he couldn't do in India as the bed was inches too short for him. Please continue to pray that his body will keep healing and that he'll have the strength for the next long process of recovery. Infection is still a concern but the nurses are very conscientous of this. (We had to get in the gear to go see him). Ana Celia (mom) is going to stay with Josh in Vancouver and John and the girls are coming back to Kelowna today. JP and I are going to try to go to the coast once or twice a month to visit with Josh. It was really great to see him and talk to him. He's still Josh, just looks different on the outside. Thanks for the prayers and please keep 'em coming!!!
